Portmarnock / Belvedere
- Neill started his career at these Irish sides before joining the Nottingham Forest Academy aged 14
Nottingham Forest
- Neill signed apprenticeship forms with Nottingham Forest despite interest from a number of clubs
Rochdale
- After being released in December 2011, Neill joined Rochdale on trial and scored in a reserve game against Manchester City. He went on to secure an 18-month contract with the League One club after his successful trial
- He made his full debut for Rochdale in a 3-3 draw against Walsall
Barrow
- He was released and joined Barrow on a one-month loan deal
AFC Telford
- In the summer of 2013 he joined National League North side AFC Telford securing promotion on the final game of the season to the National League
Macclesfield Town
- Neill spent 2 years at Macclesfield Town making over 60 appearances for the club and scoring 4 goals including reaching the FA Trophy Final in the 2016/17 season
Gateshead
- In May 2017, Neill joined Gateshead until the end of the season and extended that deal for the following season
- He scored his first goal for the club in the 2nd game of the 2017/18 season against Guiseley
AFC Fylde
- Neill signed for AFC Fylde for the 2018/19 season and secured the FA Trophy in the Final against Leyton Orient making 44 appearances during his 1st season at the club and has been ever present 2019/20
