Ryan moved back to England at the end of his visa from Australia, had a lot of offers from as high as National Premier League to Evo Stik Premier League, he decided to play the last 7 games at Basford United winner the Nott’s Senior Cup, playing as left back and in a Central Midfield role.

Making a big impression and being offered an improved 1 year Contract for 2019/20 season.

Ever present, consistent performances week in week out making 34 appearances, earning a new contract for 2020/21season, following the premature end 2019/20 season in March due to the Coronavirus that null and void the season.

Casey Comets

Ryan moved to Comets to join Jamie Skelly, to finish the season was offered a new deal for season 2019, also had offers in the NPL, but due to his visa ending March decided to return to England

Peninsula Strikers

Moved to Australia in March 2018 to play for Andy O Dell and Jamie Patterson at Strikers, producing some outstanding performances and was watched by teams in the A League and NPL.

AFC Telford

Ryan moved to Telford in September for the chance to play at a higher level making 18 appearances in National League North, before to Australia to play in State League

Matlock Town

Ryan spend just 5 games at Matlock before 7 day approach was received from AFC Telford

Alfreton Town

Ryan signed a 2 year deal

National League North playing over 75 games in 2 years, playing in every position in defence and across midfield due to a crippling injury list in his second season at the club

Gateshead

Made 20 appearances in the National League Premier as a Left Back

Ilkeston FC

He was an outstanding performer with Ilkeston winning the Evo-Stik South Division playoff final in his first season with the club, and was a regular the following season in Evo-Stik Premier league leek beaten them 2-0, Ryan made 120 Appearances for Ilkeston Fc earning him the chance to join Gateshead in National League Premier with manager Gary Mills.

Stockport County F.C.

Ryan signed for Stockport on a 2-year scholarship playing in U18 and Reserves making good development under the watchful eye of Craig Madden and Alan Lord, due to the financial problems within the club, left in his 2nd year to join Ilkeston FC, to play Senior football.
