During his career as a professional striker, he appeared for Coventry City, West Bromwich Albion, Sheffield Wednesday, Aston Villa, Watford FC, Crystal Palace, QPR, Cardiff City, Northampton Town, as well as 487 appearances and 124 goals for England U21’s. 

Following his playing career, Garry became a coach and assisted Kevin Wilson at Hucknall Town, so has a great deal of experience both on and off  the pitch.
