Project Description

Kevin is a former Northern Ireland Striker who earned 42 caps and scored 6 goals. His professional career started in 1979, following his move from his hometown Banbury United to Derby County.

During a 22 year career Kevin played for Derby County, Ipswich Town, Walsall and Chelsea scoring 200 first class goals in 711 appearances. During his time at Stamford Bridge he was named Chelsea’s Supporters Player of the Year in 1989/90 the year in which Chelsea won the Championship title.

Following his professional playing career Kevin managed ambitious National League Clubs and holds a UEFA Pro License and an FA Academy License. His focus as a manager was on developing talent and increasing value on the field which ultimately resulting in competing for trophies through an attacking and possession based style of play. This was demonstrated at Ilkeston where he managed the 1st team for approximately 5 years, establishing a productive youth system for more than 30 players that went on to represent 1st teams at Football League Clubs. These players were sold on at a profit and included players such as Che Adams, Callum Chettle, Aaron Williams, Akil Wright, Rhys Dolan and Ashley Hunter.

Kevin’s aim is to maintain those core values and bring them to the team at Sportz Connexions Ltd and the players that he represents.
